Who can get a CSLD library card?
  • People who live or own property in the Central Skagit Library District*  or in the City of Sedro-Woolley,* or are Sedro-Woolley School District faculty are eligible for a CSLD library card with no fee.
    • Sedro-Woolley School District students who live outside of CSLD (in Lyman or Hamilton, for example) are eligible for a limited use card with no fee
  • People who live in an area in Washington that provides tax support for public library service are eligible for a CSLD library card with no fee.
  • People who do not live in an area in Washington that provides tax support for public library service may purchase a CSLD library card for $80 per year. This includes Lyman, Hamilton, and some other areas of Skagit County.
  • Children under five years of age are not eligible for a CSLD library card.

This information is available on the Skagit County Assessor's property search website. Search for an address, then click on the "Taxes" tab. Scroll down to the list of taxing districts; if you see CENTRAL SKAGIT RURAL PARTIAL COUNTY LIBRARY DIST or SEDRO WOOLLEY, you live within the CSLD serevice area.

Get instant online access!

Getting your library card online gives you instant, temporary access to most of the library's online resources. It sure comes in handy if it's Sunday evening and you've just started your homework!

Online registration also enables you to place holds on library materials, but you will need to complete your registration in person before checking anything out.

Signing up online is convenient and useful, but it is temporary. Be sure to visit the Sedro-Woolley Library within two weeks to complete your registration.

How to register online

1. Complete Central Skagit Library District's online registration form by clicking the button below.

2. Within two weeks*, visit the Sedro-Woolley Library to complete registration. Please bring:

Borrow materials

Patrons may borrow up to 30 items (including a maximum of 10 DVDs), per library card, for 2 weeks.

Checked out items may be renewed twice, for a total of 6 weeks. This can be done online, via telephone, or in person - no need to carry the items back and forth to the library!

Central Skagit Library District does not charge overdue fines. However, if items are more than 60 days overdue, the patron will be invoiced for the cost of materials and will not be allowed to check out additonal materials until the balance is paid. If the items are returned, the charges will be waived or refunded as necessary.
